The Merry Christmas Tree Farm was started by Jerry & Bonnie Whitmire, along with their sons, Michael and Thomas. They retired from farming in 2005. Shortly thereafter, it was purchased by the Steed Family, and now, Jamie & Tracy Dodson.

Jamie grew up working on this very farm with his father starting when he was eight years old. For many years he hoped that one day he could call this beautiful and sentimental place his home. Then, in February of 2022, the Dodsons, along with their children, were able to achieve his dream.
